Twitter Applications (Part - I)

Below is a list of interesting twitter applications.image I have been writing down all such applications and thought to share with you.

1. TwitPic : It lets you share photos on Twitter. You can post pictures to TwitPic from your phone, TwitPic's API, or through the site itself.

2. Twitter Me This : This is a fun project created by Jim Kukral. It  imagegives you a chance to win $5.00. What you have to do is to follow Twitter.com/Twittermethis. Every so often, at a random time, they will ask a random question via Twitter. (Example: Twittermethis: When was Google launched?).

If you are the first to respond to @twittermethis with the correct answer, you win $5.00, *paid immediately via PayPal (must have valid PP addy).

3. Twits Like Me : This helps you in finding new friends on twitter.  imageJust enter your Twitter screenname in the search box, and the Twits Like Me search engine will try and find other users that Twitter about the same things that you do.

4. Twubble : Twubble is a suggestion engine for Twitter followers. It imagecan help expand your Twitter bubble—it  searches your friend graph and picks out people who you may like to follow.

5. Tweetclouds : If you love tag clouds and Twitter imagethen Tweetclouds  is for you. You can make a word cloud from a public Twitter stream. Check out more details on KillerStartups.

6. TwitterPoster : TwitterPoster is a mashup created from Twitter. It is a visual application based on Twitter API. It provides a visualimage representation of the degree of influence of the Twitter users.The service generates a mosaic with the images of users who have a greater number of followers in Twitter. Each poster have 5 photos of 72x72 pixels showing at 5 users with more followers, 10 images of 48x48 pixels for those between the positions 6 and 15 (both inclusive) and XXX images of 24x24 pixels for those who are on the position 16 to 538.

7. TwitterLocal : TwitterLocal lets you generate an RSS or XML Feed image to filter out Tweets around a certain area. Just enter a city, state, postal code, choose the range of miles you want to include, and hit the button. You'll instantly get URLs to add to your RSS reader.

8. Tweetburner : allows you to "keep track of what happens to imagethe  links in tweets shared with you, by you, by your friends and every other twitterer." The service shortens URLs and gives you statistics. Check out more details on i-stuff.
