Zemanta Makes Blogging Fun Again By Suggesting Content

Zemanta is a new web-service that provides advanced user-friendly interfaces and smart technologies that can understand what you are blogging about and suggests pictures, links, articles and tags to make your posts more vibrant.

Zemanta is building a platform for assisted on-line content production for any web user. This is best demonstrated by taking a text (a blog, an article or a web page) and feeding it into this system. The system recognizes the content and returns suggested images, smart links, keywords and relevant related stories from the Internet. It can be referenced from a user's preferred content publishing platform through a simple plug-in.

This tool will integrate with whichever blogging platform you are using and as you write, it suggests contextually relevant pictures, links and articles that you can use to enhance your post with.

This service utilizes the power of advanced machine-learning and natural language processing algorithms, so that you don't have to do repetitive tasks and can just be creative!

You can clearly see the suggested image gallery, images, related articles, links as well as tags.

Images are suggested from Wikimedia Commons, Flickr and various stock photo providers (currently Shutterstock and Fotolia). They are suggested based on contextual comparison of your text and the image's title, description and articles they were used in originally. All content that suggested by Zemanta is copyright cleared - either clearly licenced as Creative Commons, or approved by stock providers, so user don't have to worry about copy rights infringement.

Alpha version of this service currently supports :

• Right now only English language.
• Wordpress.com, Blogger.com, Typepad.com, and self-hosted Wordpresses from version 2.0 onwards blogging platform.
• Mozilla Firefox 2 and 3. Internet Explorer version is in private testing.
