AOL today announced the relaunch of their popular kid’s site KOL featuring new content partnerships with National Geographic Kids and Girlsense. In addition, the newly retooled site will offer customizable pages, personalized email and more than 100 games.
“We are relaunching KOL with new and enriched content from new partners who speak directly to our audience,” said Marty Moe, Senior Vice President of Programming, KOL. “We continue to expand the space for our users in an empowering and safe way.”
The new content partnership with National Geographic Kids will help power the KOL Pets & Animals channel where users can watch animal videos and play interactive animal games including National Geographic Kids’ dog pal “Zipper” or National Geographic “Crittercam” games. Additionally, users can find how-to instructions for offline activities and crafts.
Girlsense will now power KOL's newly designed Style Center, enabling users to design clothes and create original fashion lines, open and design personalized e-boutiques to display and “sell” fashions, create original make-up looks and styles and create accessories and mix-your-own nail polish.
In addition to a variety of skin choices to personalize their KOL pages, users can create their own KOL email address and store their favorite Web sites. KOL offers more than 100 online, kid-friendly games, music videos and artist information, movie and TV features, sports photos as well as celebrity style galleries and online cartoons – all targeted at kids ages 2-12
