Test Your Website On Different OSes and Browsers

Developing a website is not an easy task. No matter how simple it would be or the functionalities it offer, developer has to take lots of care. It’s not all about coding but one has to make sure that site supports maximum operating systems and works properly on most of the browsers.

How to test it on various platforms ? It may be possible to install all web browsers and test on them. However checking on various operating systems would be difficult. Well, there is a solution for those who are seeking to test their website on various OSes as well as on different web browsers. You even don’t have to install anything on your PC. Oh that’s cool… isn’t it ?

There is a website called “Browsershots” that offers a service to test your website on various platforms.

Browsershots makes screenshots of your web design in different browsers. It is a free open-source online service created by Johann C. Rocholl. When you submit your web address, it will be added to the job queue. A number of distributed computers will open your website in their browser. Then they will make screenshots and upload them to the central server here.” this is what site says.

It can test you site in Linux, Windows, Mac OS and BDS operating systems. Below is a snapshot of browsers supported in each OS.
