Yahoo! Launched Fire Eagle, Open location for all

fire eagle At ETech, Tom Coates of Yahoo! Brickhouse, announced the developer beta launch of Fire Eagle yesterday. This developer's beta is now open by invitation.

Fire Eagle is an open location services platform offering web, mobile, and desktop developers a simple way to build new location-based applications.

It's a secure and stylish way to share your location with sites and services online while giving you unprecedented control over your data and privacy including how, when and where their location is made available.
